  • How to Make $40,000/month Blogging
By Robert Avila on August 13th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

John Chow of JohnChow.com recently posted a video of his presentation Vancouver Business, Marketing and Entrepreneur Meetup. The title of his presentation was “How I Made 40,000 a Month From a Blog”

What I respect most about his presentation and it’s probably the most value aspect of his talk is the commitment and passion required to make $40,000 per month. Early on John talks about his background and the years it took to develop his Internet Marketing skills. Even though he invests 2 hours a day today, there were hundreds and even thousands of hours invested up front.

John’s presentation is about 1 hour long, so set aside some time and take some notes.

If you want to learn John’s sales funnel process for building a successful blog check out his video:

    Have an Awesome Day!

PS. Several years ago a good friend of mine who is an attorney told me about a case he was working on. The case was going to pay him over $2 Million. After telling me this he emphasized that it took him over 20 years to gain the experience to handle a case like this and that this wasn’t a case someone fresh out of law school would be able to manage. Remember To do big things …. You need to develop the skills!

  • John Chow – The Dotcom Lifestyle
By Robert Avila on May 18th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

This is one of my favorite videos …. Thanks John!

Sometimes it can be easy to lose sight of what is important in life.

John’s video is a reminder of what it’s all about.

When I first saw this video by John Chow of JohnChow.com it wasn’t what I had expected. I was looking forward to seeing a 10,000 ft house by the ocean with a huge garage filled with Lamborghini’s, Ferrari’s and Porsches.

To my surprise it was very different.

Here are a few questions to think about:

    • Why do you drive into the office 5 or more days a week?
    • How many hours do you spend on your daily commute?
    • Do you pride yourself on working 80 hours a week?
    • Do you enjoy your work? Is is something you would do in your free time?
    • Did the time accumulating all of those degrees and titles pay off?

One last question:  Is it all worth it?

As the days, weeks, months and years go by remember they will be gone forever.

If you answered No, it’s not worth it.

When is NOW a good time to change it?
