    Understanding Google Adwords Quality Score and it’s influence on your CPC’s and Ad Position is explained in this short video.

    Google’s Chief Economist, Hal Varian, explains the AdWords Ad Auction as well as how your max CPC bid and quality score determine how much you pay for a click on Google.

    This video stresses the importance of Quality Score on your pay-per-click costs. Making sure your keyword, ad copy and landing pages are all in alignment (as well as relevant) can save you money and increase your ad position.

    Google Adwords Editor is a powerful way to manage your campaigns and make bulk changes. You can upload new campaigns, ad groups, keyword destination urls and make changes to your existing campaigns.

    You can even import CSV files with Google Adwords Editor and this video will show you how easy it is!

    One thing to always keep in mind is to make sure you are working on the most current version of what exists in your Google Adwords Account. Whenever you start working in Google Adwords Editor make sure you download the most recent changes by clicking on “Get Recent Changes”

  • Google Content Campaign Optimization

    Once you have your Google Content Campaigns up and running, now it’s time to track your performance and optimize your campaigns. Your goal is to identify what sites are driving the most relevant traffic and conversions. Understanding your conversion metrics here is key.

    You will also notice that your CTR is going to be higher on search campaigns than what you’ll see in content, since the behavior of users is different. This difference will influence your quality score so the quality scores for search and content are kept separate. One last note …. Targeting happens at the ad group and not the keyword level.
